Big hair, bigger presence. She came out of Chicago with initials stitched into her lining and a pedigree to prove it.
Genuine silver fox, ranch-raised by Fromm Brothers - the Wisconsin house whose "Bright with Silver" pedigree label was the highest mark a silver fox could carry. Finished by Joseph Poppie, a Chicago furrier.
Because a woman like this always signs her work, a hand-embroidered monogram can be found in its black crepe satin lining - DPH. Still pinned inside, a name tag from her original owner: Potenza. The kind of detail a furrier's cold storage vault would leave behind. She comes with her history attached - literally.
Open-front cape silhouette; arm slits; dense, glossy guard hairs tipped in frost - she catches the light like she was born for it. When we thought she couldn't get anymore unique, we opened her to find a detail you almost never see - interior straps sewed into the lining, so she can be slung over the shoulder backpack style. Midcentury ingenuity dressed up in rhinestone-worthy glamour. It costs a lot of money to look this good - unless you find her first.
We call her "Potenza" and she goes with everything - slip dress, jeans, bare shoulders at midnight. She is simply, magic.
