VINTAGE 1970S TWEED PENNY LANE COAT WITH FUR COLLAR
Vintage 1970s Tweed Penny Lane Coat with Fur Collar — The Fiona
$185.00
She doesn't need a label. You can feel what she is.
Fiona is an above-the-knee belted wrap coat in a chunky artisan-woven wool tweed — a rich, earthy palette of ochre yellow, sage green, warm brown, and oat, woven in a substantial basket weave that speaks to British Isles craft tradition. The kind of fabric that took real skill and real time to make.
The collar is an oversized sweep of creamy faux fur, dramatic and enveloping against the structured tweed. Matching faux fur cuffs frame the wrists with equal intention. A self-fabric belt cinches the waist. The lining is a deep antique gold satin that catches the light every time she moves.
The closure is the detail that sets her apart —shiny faux horn toggles threaded through leather loops, each one backed in dark leather.
Her maker's label is gone, removed somewhere along the decades. But the wool knows where it came from.
